Congratulations to Kurt, who finished “Cindy” as prescribed for the first time on Tuesday.  Ten rounds with no rubber bands (50 pullups) — this is a great accomplishment!!

WTG, Kurt. Cindy must really suck for big ppl.

Wade Smith January 7, 2009 at 6:27 am

Yes, Blair she does suck. Yet one more reason to love to do Cindy.

Kurt, awesome job.
Great group and great effort last night.

Kurt January 7, 2009 at 9:22 am

Thanks everyone…Cindy tends to point out one of my weakest exercise to date, pullups. Learning to kip and perform continuous pullups will continue to be my #1 goal for 2009.

Good job Kurt!
The OHS are great. Nehal almost did his BW.
I got 175 x 5.
I have some serious DOMS from Cindy.
DOMS = Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (new fitness phrase I just picked up)

Wade Smith (at work) January 7, 2009 at 10:20 am

Nice job Nehal and Justin.
The OHS is a weakness for me; not so much because of strength, but because of inflexibility and balance.

Justin, I too have DOMS from Cindy. Wondering how that’ll affect my OHS tonight.

Great Job Kurt!!!

Rest day thank god! My whole upper body is rocked from last night. Good job again everyone, those are the kind of WOD’s I love, where everyone is non-stop pushing the pace and pushing eachother. I am actually a bit bummed out though now that I see the WOD today; OHS are something I have little experience with and something I would love to test myeself in. But alas I must stick to my new commitment of these set rest days. Hope everyone has a great day and puts up some great numbers.

Awesome job Kurt!!

Nehal January 7, 2009 at 2:25 pm

Great work, Kurt!

Thanks for all the support this AM, guys. I felt solid and strong, except when I attempted 150lbs – that’s when I tweaked a muscle in my back, near my shoulder blade.

Rick and Kurt – here’s a cool kipping video I found on the ‘Tube:

=-(
DOMS from Cindy, yes. Maybe I will see about trying these with a Beam.

Rick January 7, 2009 at 5:19 pm

Congrats to Kurt. I have the same kipping problem. Maybe there is a support group we can join. Thanks for the video Nehal. Nice job this AM.

Rick January 7, 2009 at 5:26 pm

By the way … If I bought in on the burpees today, do I have to do 28 + 7 or just 28.

Justin A January 7, 2009 at 5:38 pm

28 includes today’s 7

Scotty Mac said my last rep was more like 4.8

I just couldn’t stand up fast enough.

Blair Lowe January 7, 2009 at 10:57 pm

Nice, Phil.

Wade Smith January 8, 2009 at 6:27 am

Are we posting times/weights on the blog still? I thought just the forum now.

Yeah, Phil, that looked strong.
